Antonio Genovesi Prize - VII edition (2017)

On May 30th the Award Ceremony of the winners of the seventh edition of the Genovesi Prize took place. The event was organized by the Project Evaluation Laboratory (PEL/DiCiv/Unisa) and was sponsored by ANCE AIES Salerno. Professors Gianluigi De Mare (Director of PEL) and Antonio Nesticò (Head of Economic Evaluations in PEL), Fabio Napoli (Vice-President of the ANCE AIES Salerno) have rewarded the winning projects. Renato Benintendi (International Strategy Manager at PEL), Rosa Maria Caprino (Responsible for the relations with local and national Italian institutions and companies in PEL), Emilio Coppola (Responsible for the relations with Professional Associations in PEL), G. Veneri (Director ANCE AIES Salerno), M. Ferrara (Researcher at ENEA in Portici) also took part in the event.
The best financial feasibility studies conducted in the framework of the Economic Evaluation of Projects for investment initiatives that are intended to be implemented in the Campania region have been rewarded. The prize consists if a voucher of 1.500 euros, sponsored by ANCE AIES Salerno, for each of the three sections in which the competition is organized.
The following 16 projects took part in the VII Edition of the Antonio Genovesi Prize.

1.  Enhancement of the historical village of Auletta: the Widespread hotel is born. Students: Antonio Chiacchio, Edda Lombardi, Carmine Pepe, Luigi Ranieri, Maria Grazia Scarano;

2. La riqualificazione della Galleria Principe a Napoli/The redevelopment of the Galleria Principe in Naples. Students: Martìnex Chao Thomàs, Mariano D’Elia, Claudio Gioia, Nicoletta Guida, Giancarlo Isabella, Marco Leone;

3.  L’oasi naturalistica “Capelli di Venere” a Casaletto Spartano (SA)/The naturalistic oasis “Capelli di Venere” in Casaletto Spartano (SA). Students: Emanuela Apolito, Ilaria De Simone, Francesca Di Concilio, Mariateresa Pannone, Annalisa Ragosa;

4. Il complesso edilizio “Mariano Bianco” ad Amalfi. Casa-albergo per anziani: un’ipotesi di recupero e valorizzazione/The “Mariano Bianco” building complex in Amalfi. House-hotel for the elderly: a hypothesis of recovery and valorisation. Students: Silvio Concilio, Domenico D’Avino, Andrea Gregorio, Vincenzo Lobosco, Carmine Petrazzuolo;

5.   Riuso e valorizzazione di Palazzo De Falco a Fisciano (SA)/ Reuse and enhancement of Palazzo De Falco in Fisciano (SA). Students: Vincenzo Di Fraia, Claudio Giangrego, Daniela Grimaldi, Pietro Marino, Luisa Oricchio, Giuseppe Tortora;

6.  Low Emission SelfCleaning Glass (Vetri spettralmente selettivi) ENEA – Portici. Students: Francesca D’Amico, Chiara Esposito, Valentina Nobiel, Marco Sessa, Monica Ricciardi;

7.  Recupero e rifunzionalizzazione delle Torre Vito Bianchi a Marina di Vietri/ Recovery and re-functioning of the Vito Bianchi Tower in Marina di Vietri. Students: Marina Abate, Rosalba Albano, Giorgia Di Muro, Giovanna Sada;

8.  Progetto di riconversione irrigua nelle aree Fondovalle Ufita e Macchioni/ Irrigated conversion project in the Fondovalle Ufita and Macchioni areas. Students: Valeria Bifulco, Rocco Di Gruccio, Annalisa Di Lazzaro, Maria Rosaria Luisi.

9.  Recupero e valorizzazione del Palazzo dell’Orologio a Brusciano (SA)/ Recovery and enhancement of the Palazzo dell’Orologio in Brusciano (SA). Students: Andrea Di Perna, Marco Giordano, Katia Maceri, Luca Oliva, Bernardino Romano, Davide Sarno.

10. Valutazione finanziaria per l’avviamento e la gestione di un’azienda agricola a coltura idroponica (Comune di Montella – AV)/ Financial assessment for the start-up and
management of a hydroponic farm (Municipality of Montella – AV). Students: Giuseppe Arcieri, Aniello Caliendo, Marzia Pellegrini, Angelico Sorrentino;

11. Progetto di trasformazione funzionale dell’ex Convento di San Francesco in struttura ricettiva di lusso e location per eventi e cerimonie (Comune di Santa Marina,
Policastro Bussentino)/ Project for the functional transformation of the former Convent of San Francesco into a luxury accommodation facility and location for events and ceremonies (Municipality of Santa Marina, Policastro Bussentino). Students: Raffaella Pironti, Alessandro D’Ambrosio, Sonia Pistauro, Valerio Spingola;

12.  Verifica di fattibilità economica per interventi di efficientamento energetico sul patrimonio edilizio/ Economic feasibility check for energy efficiency measures on the building stock. Students: Giulia Alfinito, Augusto Ferrentino, Aniello Mariniello, Salvatore Olive, Marco Rauseo;

13.   Il Palaeventi di Cava de’ Tirreni (SA)/ The Palaeventi of Cava de’ Tirreni (SA). Students: Gerardo Avallone, Alessandro Barbato, Francesco Coppola, Gerardo Vicidomini;

14.  Piano di sviluppo aziendale per un impianto di biogas (Bellizzi, SA)/ Business development plan for a biogas plant (Bellizzi, SA). Students: Stefano Camillo, Achille Feola, Raffaele Porpora, Pablo Romano;

15. Analisi finanziarie per il progetto di riqualificazione del complesso sportivo “Mario Parente” (Benevento)/ Financial analysis for the redevelopment project of the “Mario Parente” sports complex (Benevento). Students: Liliana Adinolfi, Luigi Avagliano, Mario Capacchione, Elisabetta Catalano, Domenico Correale, Fabrizio Flammia;

16. Riqulificazione del Borgo di Romagnano al Monte (SA)/Redevelopment of the villege of Romagnano al Monte (SA). Students: Federica baldi, Alessio Matonti, Isabella Spagnuolo, Federica Stoia.

Below are the winning students for the three sections; Feasibility, Research and Creativity.

  • Feasibility Section: Avallone, Barbato, Coppola, Vicidomini with the project “the Palaeventi of Cava de ‘Tirreni”;
  • Research Section: Alfinito, Ferrentino, Mariniello, Oliva, Rauseo with the project “Verification of economic feasibility for energy efficiency measures on the building stock”;
  • Creativity Section: Di Fraia, Giangreco, Grimaldi, Marino, Oricchio, Tortora with the project “Reuse and enhancement of Palazzo De Falco in Fisciano”.

This year the “Transmission of Heat” section was introduced for the first time. In this section, the students Mutascio, Pagliuca, Scala were awarded the prize with the project “Insights on heat transfer for energy efficiency measures on the building stock”. The prize, a 500 euro voucher, was sponsored by CSP-Formative Agency.
