IX EDITION
Antonio Genovesi Prize - IX edition (2019)
The award ceremony of the IX Edition of the Genoesi Prize took place at the Chamber of Deputies, Palazzo Theodoli-Bianchelli.
The following guests took part in the meeting: Luigi Iovino, Secretary, Presidency of the Chamber of Deputies; Maria Lucia Taverna, Legislative Office VII Commission for Education; Federica Di Piazza, NUAVP – Presidency of the Council of Ministers; Giovanni Veneri, Director ANCE-AIES Salerno; Fabio Napoli, Vice-President ANCE-AIES Salerno; Gianvittorio Rizzano, Director of DICIV-UNISA; Giulio Erberto Cantarella, DICIV-UNISA; Vittorio Paravia, President of the Antonio Genovesi Salerno Foundation; Ezio Terzini, Technical Unit Director CR-ENEA of Portici; Rosa Maria Caprino, Socomer Grandi Lavori; Emilio Coppola, PEL-UNISA.
The ninth edition was introduced by Gianluigi De Mare (Director of PEL) and moderated by Giovanni Veneri (Director of ANCE-AIES Salerno). Antonio Nesticò (PEL-UNISA), professor of the Economic Evaluation of Projects course, announced the winning projects and their reasons.
The following 11 projects took part in the IX Edition of the Antonio Genovesi Prize:
- Mercato rionale a Salerno/Local Market in Salerno. Students: Marianna Abate Chechile, Tommasina Maffia, Bernardina Ruggiero;
- Recupero e valorizzazione del Convento di Santa Maria di Costantinopoli ad Olevano sul Tusciano (SA)/ Recovery and enhancement of the Convent of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli in Olevano sul Tusciano (SA). Students: Antonio Tuozzo, Vito Santese, Carmine Capuano.
- Centro turistico polivalente a Contursi Terme (SA)/ Multi-purpose tourist center in Contursi Terme (SA). Students: Federica Russo, Rosa Urli.
- Recupero e valorizzazione della Chiesa della Madonna del Fieno a Fisciano (SA)/ Recovery and enhancement of the Church of the Madonna del Fieno in Fisciano. Students: Michele Della Pepa, Vincenzo Ricciardi.
- Recupero e valorizzazione dell’antico mulino e di aree paesaggistiche a Montella (AV)/ Recovery and enhancement of the old mill and landscape areas in Montella (AV). Students: Salvatore Clemente, Alessandro Simone Grossi, Giovanni D’Alessio, Ciro D’Aguanno.
- Produzione di energia elettrica da microturbine/ Electricity production from microturbines. Student: Maurizio Cimmino.
- Analisi economica su tecnologie di efficientamento energetico per impianti di depurazione di acque reflue/ Economic analysis on energy efficiency technologies for wastewater treatment plants. Students: Rosario Baccaro, Ennio Ferrentino, Roberto Giorgio.
- Interventi di efficientamento energetico per il Palazzo Comunale di Pratola Serra (AV)/ Energy efficiency measures for the Town Hall of Pratola Serra (AV). Students: Chiara Sellitto, Debora Squitieri.
- Ristrutturazione dello Stadio Vestuti a Salerno/ Restructuring of the Stadio Vestuti in Salerno. Students: Martina Maria Benincasa, Simona Piccolo, Federica Rescigno, Federica Russo.
- Studio tecnico-economico per il laboratorio prove PVSmart all’ENEA di Portici (NA)/ Technical-economic study for the PVSmart test laboratory at ENEA in Portici (NA). Students: Alessia De Pascale, Valentina Fucci, Raffaella La Rocca, Camilla Anna Murino.
- Recupero e valorizzazione della Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista a Scisciano (NA)/ Recovery and enhancement of the Church of San Giovanni Battista in Scisciano. Students: Gaia Pironti, Ilaria Pagano, Antonia Marinelli.
The awarded projects are the following:
- for the Feasibility Section: Federica Russo, Rosa Urli, with the study “Centro turistico polivalente a Contursi Terme (SA)/Multipurpose tourist centre in Contursi Terme (SA)” for the detail of the cash-flow analysis, in relation to a careful rewriting of the project functions and in the light of detailed market surveys;
- for the Research Section: Alessia De Pascale, Valentina Fucci, Raffaella La Rocca, Camilla Anna Murino, with the project “Studio tecnico-economico per il laboratorio prove PVSmart all’ENEA di Portici (NA)/Technical-economic study for the PVSmart testing laboratory at ENEA in Portici (NA)”, for the level of in-depth economic studies in high-tech sectors;
- for the Creativity Section: Salvatore Clemente, Alessandro Simone Grossi, Giovanni D’Alessio, Ciro D’Aguanno, with the project “Recupero e valorizzazione dell’antico mulino e di aree paesaggistiche a Montella (AV)/Recovery and enhancement of the old mill and landscape areas in Montella (AV), for the ability to creatively outline a sustainable management activity from the financial point of view and compatible with the environmental values of the territory.
Also for this edition, Socomer Grandi Lavori srl (Battipaglia, SA) has awarded the “Ersilio Caprino Prize” aimed at involving young engineers in the construction site management.
