1. Premise

The purpose of this information is to provide maximum transparency regarding the information that the Project Evaluation Laboratory website collects and uses.
In compliance with the obligations deriving from national legislation (Legislative Decree 30 June 2003 n.196, Code regarding the protection of personal data, and subsequent amendments) and European (European Regulation for the protection of personal data n. 679/2016, GDPR ), the site respects and protects the privacy of visitors and users, making every possible and proportionate effort not to infringe the rights of users.

The Project Evaluation Laboratory website processes data mainly on the basis of user consent: consent is given via the banner at the bottom of the page, or through the use or consultation of the site, as a conclusive behaviour. By using or consulting the site, visitors and users approve this privacy statement and consent to the processing of their personal data in relation to the methods and purposes described below, including any disclosure to third parties if necessary for the provision of a service. Furthermore, further consents related to the specific purpose of the service are collected through communication or service request forms.

3.1. Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but which by their very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the addresses in the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user’s IT environment. These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

The data collected by the site are processed at the headquarters of the Project Evaluation Laboratory and are carried out by the owner of the site.

In particular with Google, Facebook and Microsoft through social plugins and the Google Analytics service. The transfer is authorized on the basis of specific decisions of the European Union and of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, in particular decision 1250/2016 (Privacy Shield), for which no further consent is required. The companies mentioned above guarantee their adherence to the Privacy Shield.
