Custody of cultural heritage in the scriptoria of the great Abbeys

On Friday 10 May 2019, at the Carmine Pecoraro Solidarity Hall of the University of Salerno, the conference entitled “Custody of cultural heritage in the scriptoria of the great Abbeys” took place. The event was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering (DICIV – UNISA), the Department of Cultural Heritage Sciences (DISPaC – UNISA) and the Department of Legal Sciences (DSG – UNISA) with the patronage of the city of Cava de’ Tirreni (SA), of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), of the Project Evaluation Laboratory (PEL – UNISA) and the Benedictine Abbey of SS. Trinity of Cava de’ Tirreni.
The conference, moderated by Prof. Armando Lamberti (DSG – UNISA), began with the institutional greetings of Vincenzo Piluso (DICIV – UNISA Director), Giovanni Sciancalepore (DSG Director), Chiara Maria Lambert (DISPAC), Fabrizio Parrulli (General Brigade – Carabinieri Commander for Cultural Heritage Protection), Don Michele Petruzzelli (Abbot of the Abbey of the SS. Trinity of Cava de’ Tirreni) and Vincenzo Servalli (Mayor of Cava de’ Tirreni).
Following, the project that gives the event its name it was presented by Gianluigi De Mare (PEL – UNISA), Renato Benintendi (PEL – UNISA) and Elena Merino Gòmez (Universidad Nebrija).
The meeting then hosted the Lectio Magistralis “Church, Holy See and Vatican City State – Historical notations and legal convergences”, edited by S. Etc. Prof. Avv. Raffaele Coppola, Attorney General of the Court of Appeal of the Vatican City State – University of Bari “Aldo Moro”.
In conclusion, the speeches by Giuseppe D’Angelo (DSG – UNISA), Antonio Nesticò (PEL – UNISA) and Mario Pagano (Superintendent SAbap, CS).
